That can be, for example, “construction manager in Berlin” or “Electrical Engineer in Hamburg.” Use the language that you feel most comfortable speaking. Go beyond the first few pages. Go deep with your search. You’ll get an immediate sense of what’s around and which job websites best suit your needs.

Google MapsBaidu MapsNaver Maps2GIS, or any other map app, can help you find employers near you or abroad. Look for an organization that might have job opportunities for you. For example, look for “automobile engineer in Munich” or “nurse in Frankfurt.”

Facebook groups can also be an option to start to see what’s around you. You can search for Facebook groups that talk about Germany and jobs.

You can search your area for local recruitment agencies if you are not in Germany. They can help you find a job in Germany.


Be aware that you should not pay an agency when they find a job for you. So be careful when an agency asks you for money.
