How to get a visa for Myanmar?

You get an e-visa for Mynamar at the website of the Ministry of Immigration of Mynamar. When you arrive in Myanmar, you must print a copy of your e-visa approval and have it ready to show. You will only be able to enter Myanmar by a restricted number of ports if you apply for an eVisa, which includes the three main airports ( Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw, and Mandalay International Airport ) as well several land crossings with Thailand and India.

My e-Visa has expired, and my travel has been postponed. Can you alter the validity date of my e-Visa?

We are unable to alter the e-Visa validity dates. We advise you to submit a new visa application.

Will I be able to apply for a tourist or business visa through a Myanmar embassy or consulate if my online eVisa application is rejected?

Yes. You can try your application again using the eVisa service or submit it at a Myanmar Embassy or Consulate. All embassies and online applications, however, follow the same standards for visa application verification and acceptance.

 

 

Do I have to print out the approval letter, or may I show the immigration official a digital copy or a picture of it instead?

The eVisa Approval Letter must currently be printed out and shown to the immigration officer upon arrival. Your entry could be delayed if you don’t supply a printed copy.

Do I pick up my visa at the Myanmar checkpoint, or will it be mailed to me?

When you present your printed copy of the e-Visa Approval Letter at the Myanmar Immigration Arrival counter, your visa will be issued and stamped inside your passport. The approval letter for your e-Visa application is delivered to the e-mail address you provided when you submitted it.
