As it is only a short flight away, Singapore is a popular destination among tourists from India. The Singapore visa is a simple procedure for Indians. I have tried to provide you with an overview of the Indian Singapore Visa process and how you can get it.
How do Indians apply for a Singapore visa?
1) If you have a friend or relative who is a Singapore Citizen, you can make an online application. They will have to apply on your behalf for the visa.
2) The Singapore visa for Indians through Approved Agents. For the list of approved officers, click here. Most local travel agencies will have ties with the authorized agents. It is not very difficult to find a local agent to get a Singapore visa.
What are the required documents for a Singapore tourist visa?
- Documents for submission.
- Shape Fourteen A.
- Two-color photo of the passport size with matt finish. (tell the studio guys that you need a passport size photo for Indians with a Singapore visa. They are generally aware of the format and size. Don’t try Photoshop to edit the image.

- On a case-by-case basis, the Singapore High Commission will request more documentation.
- A cover letter addressed to the Embassy of Singapore or the Consulate General. The letter should indicate the date of departure, the number of passengers. It should also state the intent of the visit. The itinerary’s specifics and the length of the stay in the country and duly signed by the applicant. If working, use simple A4 paper, and if self-employed, use a business letterhead with a stamp.
- Return flight tickets that were confirmed.
- Address Proof if there is a different address on the passport than the current address.
- Certificate of marriage, if the spouse’s name is not stated in the passport.
- For couples heading for a honeymoon, an initial wedding card is mandatory.
- Bank statements with a bank stamp and signature for the last six months. It is to illustrate ample funds for the entire stay in Singapore.
- Business Leave Letter (NOC), copy of employee ID, pay statements for the last three months. The ITR for the previous three years is working.
- Company Registration Evidence or Association Memorandum (MOA). Or Relationship Deed and Visiting Card, if self-employed.
- Copy of a student ID card or Bonafide certificate, leave of school, or college letter if a student.
- Retirement Evidence, if removed.
- No certificate of objection on 100 INR stamp paper and a copy of a passport. Or other non-accompanying parent’s ID if a minor is commuting alone. Or they were accompanied by a single parent.
- NOC and a copy of the husband’s passport or other ID evidence if the wife is traveling alone.
- Type V39A (Letter of Introduction) and a copy of your ID card provided by the Government of Singapore. Suppose you are invited or sponsored to stay at a hotel by a local contact or by Hotel Booking Evidence.
Application Process for Singapore Visas
What’s the method of getting a tourist visa from India to Singapore?
Choose an approved visa agent from the list (shared above) of ICA-designated agents. These will, on your behalf, can carry out the visa process.
